He was born on May 9, 1968, in Krasnokamsk, Perm Region, Russia (USSR).

Education

1998–2008 – studied a history at the Perm State Pedagogical University; Master of History.
2009–2011 – applicant for a PhD degree at the cultural anthropology chair of the State Slavic Culture Academy; studied interconnections of modern sports institutions and traditional games; defended dissertation "Sport as sociocultural phenomenon of globalization epoch"; PhD in Cultural Anthropology.

Science community

2009 – became a member of the International Society of Olympic Historians (ISOH).
2011 – became a member of the UNESCO-EOLSS Joint Committee Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems in Sport Science series.
2010–2011 – became a research fellow of Sport Anthropology Laboratory of the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Physical Culture (VNIIFK).
2011 – was elected vice-rector of the Churapcha State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.
2012 – became a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences for studies and protection of natural and cultural heritage.

2005–2009 (re-elected for 2009–2013 – Secretary General of the Multisport Association of Russia. 
2006–2010 (re-elected for 2010–2014) – First Vice-president of the Russian Korfball Federation

2011 – became an adviser on culture, sports and education for the Vice-president of Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.
